Communication & Media Relations Executive – Heritage Resorts

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a performance driven culture throughout the organization, based on the division values and ensure implementation of change plans & structures
  • Create and promote our business awareness, identity and mission to our customers and stakeholders at large
  • Network and build positive long term working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (authorities, regulators, key customers, strategic partners
  • Ensure that all information is relevant and updated on all the communication of all our brands
  • Participate and assist in projects
  • Advise on cost effectiveness of projects/events
  • Participle in the budget of the communication department
  • Develop a communication plan including strategy, goals, budget and action plan
  • Oversee and produce from concept to completion, a broad array of digital and/or print promotional and communication materials for the organization
  • Ensure that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization and/or brand
  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
  • Coordinate all public relations activities including press trips, press meetings, pitches and conferences
  • Engage with social media team to inform, trigger interest and emotion and engage with audiences
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within individual and lifestyle media
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests
  • Create content for press releases, blogs, social media posts and any other relevant platform
  • Arrange for photography and/or press and social media coverage for special events
  • Promote and attend special events and functions
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a monthly basis
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis
  • Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
  • Spread the communication on Sustainability Development initiatives of the brands

Candidate’s Profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and/or Communications
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience in a similar position
  • Previous experience in the hotel/tourism sector will be a plus
  • Strong communication and copywriting skills
  • Fluent in English & French, both written and spoken
  • Valid driving license is a must

This position is to be posted in Mapou (Head Office) and Bel Ombre (Heritage Resorts).
