Maintenance Executive

Main Purpose of the Role:

To lead and manage all aspects of maintenance operations, ensuring the optimal functioning and safety of all resort facilities. This includes budget management, preventive maintenance scheduling, contractor supervision, and adherence to quality and sustainability standards. The role is essential in delivering high-quality upkeep and improvements across the resort, enhancing guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the department budget, including Capex and Opex, and establish a comprehensive cost management plan.
  • Oversee refurbishment and rebuilding projects, ensuring alignment with quality standards.
  • Manage team scheduling and roster organization to maintain efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager to establish and enforce quality control procedures.
  • Set the annual operating budget and monitor adherence, with monthly follow-ups for accuracy.
  • Supervise and oversee any additional work performed by contractors to ensure quality standards.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules for all mechanical and electrical systems, including chillers, boilers, and cooling equipment.
  • Monitor and manage equipment inventory, coordinating with relevant hotel departments.
  • Track department budget performance monthly, emphasizing cost savings in utilities like electricity, gas, and water.
  • Ensure the preventive maintenance program functions effectively, maintaining updated records for tests and inspections (e.g., emergency lighting, fire alarm, sprinkler systems).
  • Conduct regular water tests and take necessary action based on results.
  • Lead and supervise daily maintenance and repair activities across the resort to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support sustainability practices by adhering to the organization’s commitments in environmental initiatives.

Candidate’s Profile:

  • Diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred
  • 5+ years in maintenance management, ideally in hospitality or resorts.
  • Strong budgeting and cost management skills.
  • Expertise in mechanical and electrical systems (e.g., chillers, boilers).
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of quality and sustainability standards would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in maintenance software and MS Office.
