Maintenance Supervisor

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist superior to conduct Performance Appraisal and identify necessary training measures of respective team members
  • Make recommendations to Superior on team members’ matters and promotions
  • Ensure that discipline prevails within the team and communicates any disciplinary issues to Superior/HR Manager
  • Act as a coach
  • Conduct on the job training on a regular basis
  • Follow up induction of new recruits
  • Assist in the building of an efficient team by taking interest in their welfare, safety and development
  • Ensure that discipline prevails within the team and communicates any disciplinary issues to HR
  • Assist superior to :
  • Coordinate & supervise activities in his/her department
  • Ensure that respective team projects a warm, professional and welcome image
  • Handle and monitor of guests complaints and the relevant follow up action required
  • Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relations and takes active interest in the welfare, safety & development of TM
  • Advise General Manager/Resort Manager on refurbishment and rebuilding
  • Prepare and ensure that duty roster for the department is done such that there is complete coverage at all times and to minimize overtime costs
  • Follow up on punctuality, controls absenteeism and takes corrective actions where necessary
  • Ensure that there is a proper planning and control of annual leaves for the department
  • Supervise and control the extra work done by contractors
  • Regularly monitors store and ensure that spares are ordered in advance to maintain par stock
  • Ensure respective TMs are operating as per Quality Management System
  • Ensure respective TMs are operating as per S&H regulations and policies
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the general maintenance and repair of the resort
  • Monitor all electrical and mechanical works (as per check lists)
  • Ensure that corrective maintenance programme is working satisfactorily
  • Ensure that paperwork and logbooks are kept up to date
  • Follow-up on all maintenance requests
  • Test regularly all fire prevention systems on the resort
  • Comply with all the sustainability commitments and practices implemented within business units
  • Notify the Sustainable Development Department of any matters that may pose any impact to the environment and society
